During the second round of Pro Stock qualifying on Friday at the Texas NHRA FallNationals, Eric Latino crossed the centerline and then struck the right wall, with the car flipping on its top before coming to a stop. Latino was alert, exited the car under his own power and was examined onsite by NHRA Chief Medical Officer Dr. Surface before being released.

During Friday's qualifying at the Texas NHRA FallNationals, NHRA officials crowned Sean Bellemeur the world champion in Top Alcohol Funny Car for the fourth time in his career.
