Paton Racing will again have Cody Krohn at the controls of its Top Fuel dragster at the upcoming Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals June 6-8 in Bristol.

Krohn and his CK Racing team partnered with the Patons in 2024, piloting and qualifying their dragster at all four national events they attended, and gained some valuable seat time before jumping into his own Top Alcohol Funny Car earlier in the 2025 season. But Top Fuel is really where Krohn ultimately wants to be in NHRA competition.

“Having the opportunity to compete at the highest level again is a blessing. Top Fuel is no joke and still seems surreal to me,” he said. “I am absolutely lucky to have the support of my family to chase these dreams. My mom, my dad, and I have worked relentlessly in the past year to make this possible again, and I truly couldn’t do it without them. The CK/Paton Racing relationship was strong last year and is bound to be competitive again as we roll into Bristol. Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School, Performance Data Systems, and Right Trailers also fuel the fire to make this possible. The support and efforts put into this are incredible and beyond words. It’s time to go burn some nitro! “

Team owner Todd Paton added, “We really enjoyed having Cody in the car last season; the kid can flat-out drive, and we feel he makes us a more competitive team when he’s in the seat. He may only be 21, but he has a great feel for these cars, which he has proven in everything he’s driven during his relatively short career.

“I really enjoyed getting back in the seat at Charlotte, and we’re glad we got a few laps in so we can hit the ground running at Bristol with Cody in the car. We found a few things in the clutch and fuel system that have us optimistic that we can unload at Bristol and pick up where we left off to give Cody a competitive car right out of the gate.”
