Robert Hight’s team has dominated Funny Car performance for the first three days on the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals and that extended into Sunday’s Pep Boys NHRA Funny Car All-Star Callout where he defeated Matt Hagan in the final round for the $80,000 payday.

There were few changes on Sunday as Saturday low qualifiers Steve Torrence, Robert Hight, Matt Hartford, and Gaige Herrera now look to capture Dodge Power Brokers U.S. Nationals titles on Monday.

Sunday’s schedule for the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals is jam packed with two more rounds of professional qualifying, eliminations in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing series as well as FuelTech Pro Mod and FlexJet Factory Stock classes and the Pep Boys NHRA Funny Car Callout event.

Funny Car legend John Force claimed his first win in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge, defeating back-to-back world champ Ron Capps in the final round. Justin Ashley (Top Fuel), Aaron Stanfield (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the bonus event in Indy.

NHRA officials announced a schedule change for Sunday’s eliminations at the Menards NHRA Nationals. Eliminations will now begin at 10 a.m. CT on Sunday in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, starting with Top Fuel and then Funny Car and Pro Stock. Gates will open at 7:30 a.m. CT on Sunday at Heartland Motorsports Park.

The final day of qualifying for the Menards NHRA Nationals will set the field in all three professional classes, and it will also serve as a thrilling race-within-a-race as the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge is contested.
