The final qualifying session for the JBS Equipment NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Elite delivered exactly what fans have come to expect from one of drag racing's most unpredictable categories: close racing, side-by-side battles, and a dramatic shakeup at the top of the qualifying sheet.

When the dust settled, Billy Banaka emerged as the quickest driver of the session, driving his Camaro to a 5.840-second pass at 251.39 mph. Banaka's run edged Derek Menholt's 5.888-second effort and vaulted him to the top of the provisional order heading into eliminations.

Mike Stavrinos continued his strong weekend with a 5.774-second run at 250.51 mph, the quickest elapsed time among the completed side-by-side pairings. Stavrinos defeated Sidnei Frigo, who slowed to an 8.590-second pass after encountering issues downtrack.

Travis Harvey also impressed, posting a 5.779-second run at 249.07 mph to defeat J.R. Gray in one of the closest races of the session. Harvey's performance reinforced his position as one of the toughest eliminations opponents in the field.

Jason Collins delivered one of the most complete runs of the round, recording a 5.801-second pass at 247.02 mph while defeating Mike Castellana. Collins paired a stout elapsed time with an excellent .007 reaction time, one of the best lights of the session.

Aaron Stanfield added another strong performance to his busy Bristol weekend. Stanfield drove to a 5.832-second run at 246.93 mph to defeat Nick Januik, using a sharp .029 reaction time to secure the victory.

Lyle Barnett continued to show why he remains one of the most dangerous drivers in Pro Mod competition. Barnett posted a 5.824-second pass at 248.80 mph against Mike Thielen, who encountered significant problems and slowed to an 18.729-second elapsed time.

Several competitors struggled to make representative runs during the final session. Alex Laughlin slowed to a 6.464-second pass after losing momentum downtrack, while Rickie Smith was unable to make a competitive run in his solo attempt. Chip King also collected a win after Stan Shelton encountered issues and slowed to a 9.714-second pass.

Heading into Eliminations

The final qualifying session demonstrated just how tight the Pro Mod field remains. Multiple drivers ran in the 5.77- to 5.84-second range, and several others showed the speed necessary to contend on race day.

With Banaka claiming the Q4 spotlight, and contenders such as Stavrinos, Harvey, Barnett, Collins, Stanfield, and Gray all showing race-winning potential, Sunday's eliminations promise to deliver one of the deepest and most competitive Pro Mod fields of the season at Bristol Dragway.
