PRI Show highlights NHRA drag racing in Indy
The displays are being built, the lights are coming up, and the heartbeat of American motorsports once again echoes through the halls of the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show. The 2025 PRI Show officially opens Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 9 a.m., and with it comes a powerful reminder of why this gathering matters.
From cutting-edge engineering to grassroots innovation, this is the annual moment when the racing industry reconnects face-to-face, recharges its momentum, and recommits to the future. At the center of that future stands the National Hot Rod Association, preparing to launch its milestone 75th season in 2026.
For seven and a half decades, National Hot Rod Association has served as the proving ground for innovation, safety, speed, and competition—and that legacy is proudly on display as we return to PRI once again. NHRA has been part of every single PRI Show since the very first event in Louisville.
Through every chapter of the industry’s evolution, PRI has been the place where ideas become products, and products become performance. This partnership is built not just on history, but on collaboration—among manufacturers, racers, engineers, media, and sanctioning bodies — to push the sport forward together.
Now, in 2025, that partnership reaches new visual heights—literally. With the support of Performance Racing Industry, one of the most iconic machines in all of motorsports has been elevated into the Capital Cube: the Top Fuel dragster of Antron Brown.
To see a modern nitro-fueled dragster suspended in the architectural centerpiece of PRI is more than a display—it’s a statement. Drag racing doesn’t just belong at the table of American motorsports; it sets the pace. That momentum will be felt far beyond the show floor this year. NHRA will be livestreaming all week from Booth 7,032, bringing the PRI experience directly to fans, racers, and partners around the world on YouTube and NHRA.com.
From interviews with industry leaders, to recapping of record-setting performances, and the highlighting of new speed technology—NHRA’s digital coverage will extend the reach of PRI well beyond Indianapolis.
Drag racing stands at the intersection of raw power and advanced technology. It is where aerospace-grade materials meet backyard ingenuity, where data science meets seat-of-the-pants instinct. From Top Fuel to Sportsman racing, NHRA competition continues to drive innovation that ripples through every corner of the performance aftermarket.
As NHRA approaches its 75th anniversary in 2026, the timing of this year’s PRI Show could not be more meaningful. The organization was founded on a simple but powerful mission: to make hot rodding safer, more organized, and accessible. That mission still holds.
Today’s NHRA is not only about competition—it’s about careers, manufacturing, STEM education, sustainability, and the next generation of racers and fans who will carry this sport forward.
Every aisle of PRI tells a story of problem-solving and performance—from engine components and chassis technology to safety systems, data acquisition, and electrification. It’s where today’s challenges meet tomorrow’s solutions.
As the 2025 PRI Show unfolds, NHRA’s presence is both a celebration and a preview. A celebration of 75 years of drag racing excellence, innovation, and community. And a preview of what’s ahead as we build toward the launch of the 2026 season—the Next 75.
Motorsports is strong. The aftermarket is vibrant. And drag racing remains a powerful engine within it all. At PRI, once again, American motorsports gathers—and NHRA stands proudly at its heart.
