Every year for the last 40 years, NHRA’s best Sportsman drivers have come together for the annual JEGS Allstars competition. They will compete for more than $125,000 in prize money at the upcoming Texas NHRA FallNationals. Here is a closer look at this year’s contestants.

TOP ALCOHOL DRAGSTER

Jackie Fricke    East Region
The last driver to win the JEGS Allstars prior to Julie Nataas’ epic four-year run, Fricke is once again battling for the Top Alcohol Dragster world title. She’s already got three wins in seven final rounds this season and has a car that can run 5.1s.

John Ausherman    East Region
First-time JEGS Allstars went to the final round of the East Region event at Lebanon Valley Dragway earlier this season, a result that helped him clinch a spot on the team.

Matt Cummings        North Central Region
Currently tied for the lead with reigning champ Shawn Cowie, he’s got four wins in five final rounds this season, including the recent four-wide event at zMax Dragway.

Jared Dreher    North Central Region
Ran a 5.27 recently in Brainerd and solidly in the low 5.3s in his most recent appearance at the Cornwall Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals. At that event, he gave Jamie Noonan all he could handle in round one.

Julie Nataas        Central Region
Former world champion is looking to join the short list of drivers with five JEGS Allstars titles. While she’s spent this year concentrating on building her Professional credentials, she’ll return to the Meyer team for this event and a shot at history.

McKenna Bold    Central Region
Racing as part of the Randy Meyer team, she has enjoyed an impressive rookie season in the Top Alcohol Dragster class with solid reaction times and a big win at the Norwalk national event.

Joey Severance        West Region
The JEGS Allstars champion in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019, he has a shot (along with Julie Nataas) to tie a record with five victories in this event. He’s also got a pair of wins this season, including the Brainerd national event.

Shawn Cowie        West Region
The reigning world champ and current points leader has to be among the favorites considering he’s already got four wins in six final rounds this season. Interestingly enough, he’s won national events at seven different tracks, but Dallas isn’t one of them.

TOP ALCOHOL FUNNY CAR

Phil Esz            East Region
Enjoying a breakthrough season in the Top Alcohol Funny Car category with three victories in NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional competition. He’s also on pace for a top five finish.

Jim Whiteley            East Region
Won back-to-back titles at this event in Top Alcohol Dragster in 2010-11, and now he’s got a chance to add a Top Alcohol Funny Car win to that résumé. He’s already won the regional event at the Texas Motorplex this season.

Chris Foster            North Central Region
Currently ranked in the Top 10, he scored a win earlier this season at the regional event in Norwalk and drove to the final round of the Indianapolis race held during the popular Cleetus and Cars event.

Sean Bellemeur        North Central Region
One of the most dominant drivers in the history of the class, he’s coming off back-to-back JEGS Allstars titles behind the wheel of the Bartone Bros. “Killer B’s” entry.

Christine Foster      Central Region
Competing alongside husband, Chris, in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class and the JEGS Allstars, she won the regional event in Brainerd in August and is battling for a spot in the Top 10.

Bob McCosh    Central Region
He’s been impressive at times this season with five final-round appearances, and he’s coming off a recent victory at the regional event in Earlville, Iowa.

Brian Hough        West Region
The 2021 JEGS Allstars winner is having the best season of his career with five wins in seven finals. He’s also coming off back-to-back national event wins in Reading and Charlotte. Oh, and he’s the current points leader.

Maddi Gordon    West Region
Already won a pair of regional events this season in Phoenix and Las Vegas and added a national event title in Seattle. Currently the No. 3 ranked driver in the Top Alcohol Funny Car class.

COMPETITION ELIMINATOR

Joe Carnasciale    DIVISION 1
The 2025 season has been good to him with four wins in five final rounds, including the New England Nationals. More recently, he went to the semifinals in Reading.

Monty Bogan    DIVISION 2
A consistent winner in Comp and Super Stock, he’s won almost everything there is to win except a JEGS Allstars title. Kicked off the season with a win at the Division 2 event in Orlando, Fla.

Dave Dupps Jr.    DIVISION 3
Won the Indianapolis NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event and then went and swept the Norwalk doubleheader. For good measure, he added a national event title in Norwalk and then went to the NHRA U.S. Nationals final.

Taylor Chomiski    DIVISION 4
The No. 3 ranked driver in Comp right now, he won both events in Las Vegas earlier this season and has since added a pair of runner-up finishes.

Matt Harris        DIVISION 5
Thus far in 2025, he’s appeared in four final rounds with three wins, including the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd. He followed that with a win at the Division 5 race in Earlville, Iowa.

Ryan Warter            DIVISION 6
Solid season that already features two wins and a runner-up finish. He’s got a shot for a Top 10 finish even though he’s competed in just one national event thus far in 2025.

Joshua Lee    DIVISION 7
A bit of a wildcard since he’s raced just six times this season and all of them have been NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series races. So far, the highlight has been a semifinal finish in Phoenix.

Steve Szupka    BLOCKER
Last year’s champion gets to return as a blocker, and he’s coming in with ahead of steam after a recent win at the Division 1 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in Richmond.

SUPER STOCK

Justin Picillo            DIVISION 1
Another driver who has confined his racing this season exclusively to divisional events but has made the most of it with a win at Lebanon Valley Dragway.

Larry Leazer    DIVISION 2
Came out swinging this season with a runner-up finish at the first NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Orlando Speed World Dragway. That was a critical race that helped him make the JEGS Allstars squad.

Jeremy Duncan        DIVISION 3
Bagged a season-opening win at the Division 3 race at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and combined several other late-round finishes in order to qualify for the talented Division 3 JEGS Allstars team.

Jimmy Hidalgo Jr.    DIVISION 4
One of the hottest drivers in all of NHRA Sportsman racing right now with a shot at the championship in both Stock and Super Stock. Strange to think he’s yet to win the JEGS Allstars event.

Jason DeForrest        DIVISION 5
An Allstar last season and a Top 10 player at this point in the season thanks to a win at the St. Louis divisional race and the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd.

Darrell Stobbe    DIVISION 6
Canadian entry had a great weekend earlier this season when he nearly swept the Division 6 doubleheader in Acton, Mont., with a win and a runner-up.

Randy Loge    DIVISION 7
Opened the season on a high note with a runner-up and a semifinal at the Division 7 doubleheader in Phoenix back in February.

Evan Kowalski    BLOCKER
Defending event champ will have two shots for a repeat victory as he’s also in Super Gas. Won a Division 7 race earlier this season in Bakersfield, Calif., and has a host of late-round finishes that have him battling for a Top 10 spot.

STOCK ELIMINATOR

John Gray        DIVISION 1
Not just one of the best-looking cars in Stock eliminator, but also one of the most competitive. The NHRA Gatornationals champ comes to Dallas as the No. 2 ranked driver in the class with a shot at a world title.

Steve Foley    DIVISION 2
Went to the final round at a pair of NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events and then fulfilled a longtime goal with a national event victory in Richmond. A JEGS Allstars win would help make this a career year.

Josh Decker    DIVISION 3
Coming into his own this season with a win at the “Baby Gators” Division 2 event and a solid showing at the Norwalk doubleheader. Stock in Division 3 is tough, so it’s a win just to make the JEGS Allstars team.

Landon Emmons            DIVISION 4
The latest generation of Emmons racers continues to make rapid strides. He’s returning to the Texas Motorplex, where he won the Division 4 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series title earlier this season.

Ellis Buth            DIVISION 5
This is one of the slowest cars in Stock eliminator, and it’s also one of the most dangerous. Currently, he’s ranked among the 10 best racers in the category.

Brad Burton    DIVISION 6
Two-time world champion has run 13 NHRA events this year in Stock and doesn’t have a single round-one loss. Another driver who probably should have already won the JEGS Allstars but hasn’t.

Parker Theobald    DIVISION 7
Enjoyed his best result of the season recently with a victory at the Division 7 race in Bakersfield. Currently just 24 points out of a spot in the Top 10 in Stock.

Michael Brand    Blocker
Defending JEGS Allstars champion hasn’t raced this season in Stock, but he’s got enough experience that no one should be concerned about being rusty.

SUPER COMP

Kevin Scholl    DIVISION 1
A semifinal and a runner-up at the two Division 1 events at Numidia Dragway were enough to help secure a JEGS Allstars berth against a stacked field of Northeast Division racers.

Bradley Snowball    DIVISION 2
For the first time this season, he’ll venture outside his native Southeast Division, where he’s had some decent results, including a late-round finish in Gainesville.

Devin Isenhower    DIVISION 3
Won this race in 2022, and he’s also on the verge of a Top 10 finish in large part due to a runner-up showing earlier this year at the Norwalk national event.

Tanner Thorp    DIVISION 4
He’s already been to the Texas Motorplex winner’s circle this season after claiming the Division 4 event to go along with a runner-up finish in Belle Rose, La.

Jordan Pratt    DIVISION 5
This is a huge event for him not only because of the JEGS Allstars, but he’s also battling for a Top 10 spot. Earlier this season, he scored a win at the St. Louis divisional race.

Cooper Chun    DIVISION 6
Won a monster payout earlier this season at the Spring Fling Million event in Las Vegas, and now he’s got a chance to claim his first JEGS Allstars crown. That would make for a great season in anyone’s book.

Jonathan Flores    DIVISION 7
West Coast regular kicked off 2025 with a victory at the Phoenix NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series race and tacked on a late-round finish at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Tom Stalba    Blocker
When it comes to Super class racing, they don’t come much tougher than the defending champ and multitime Division 1 champion. He also won the JEGS Allstars Super Gas title in 2003.

SUPER GAS

Charlie Kenopic    DIVISION 1
Enjoying a solid season with three final rounds, including a win Numidia, Pa., and more recently, a runner-up finish at the Reading national event. Those results have allowed him to challenge for a Top 10 spot.

Jim Perry    DIVISION 2
He’s already won the world title and a NHRA Summit Racing E.T. Series title, so he knows a thing or two about handling pressure. After a slow start this season, he won the Division 2 event at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

Nathan Prose    DIVISION 3
Comes into the JEGS Allstars event just three points out of the lead in the battle for the world title. So far this season, he’s got two wins in two finals, including a runner-up last weekend in St. Louis, where he nearly joined his sister, Alison, in the winner’s circle.

Roger Warren    DIVISION 4
A runner-up finish and a semifinal earlier this season in Belle Rose, La., have helped fuel a run that currently has him fighting for a spot in the Top 10.

Trevor Larson    DIVISION 5
Has won this event four times, including 2016 when he pulled of an historic double with wins in Super Comp and Super Gas. Not surprisingly, the Division 5 team has also won the overall title each year he’s won.

Brian Preszler    DIVISION 6
Opened the season in the best way possible with a win at the Division 6 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in Boise. Since then, he’s added a semifinal in Seattle.

Evan Kowalski        DIVISION 7
The blocker in Super Stock, he’s also got a chance to join Trevor Larson with a JEGS double-up. He’s been solid in Super Gas this season with a win and two semifinals.

Michael Boehner        Blocker
Defending event champion, who returns as a blocker, started off strong with a win and a semifinal at the Division 7 opener in Phoenix.

SUPER STREET

Frank Volpe    DIVISION 1
Attended five events this season in the Northeast Division and has managed to win at least a few rounds at all but one of them. He’s still got an outside shot at the Division 1 title.

Donald Webb        DIVISION 2
Used a pair of wins and a semifinal to capture the 2024 Southeast Division Super Street title and managed to hold on this year to represent the Division 2 team in the JEGS Allstars.

Ray Miller II        DIVISION 3
Past Indy winner is having a fantastic season with divisional wins in Indianapolis and Norwalk and, more recently, a semifinal at the Beech Bend Raceway Park event.

John Liebham    DIVISION 4
He’s been consistent this season with a semifinal, two quarterfinals, and a round-three finish in five events in the South Central Division.

Jason Hennessey    DIVISION 5
In six divisional races this season, he’s managed to go to the third round (or later) in all of them. If he wins three rounds here, he’ll be the JEGS Allstars champion.

David Monsaas    DIVISION 6
A runner-up in Acton, Mont., and a semifinal in Woodburn, Ore., has helped punch his ticket to the JEGS Allstars competition. Hoping to help the Division 6 team win their first overall title since 2005.

John Dexter    DIVISION 7
The 2022 JEGS Allstars winner is back for another shot at the title. In four events this year in his home division, he’s got two semifinal showings and a quarterfinal.

Alan Bush    BLOCKER
A JEGS Allstars win is the gift that keeps on giving as he gets to return for this year’s event. His most recent results was his best with a runner-up showing in Earlville, Iowa.

RIGHT TRAILERS TOP DRAGSTER

Walter Zalak IV            DIVISION 1
This season, he’s confined his racing primarily to divisional events and has done quite well with a win in Reading followed by a runner-up finish in Lebanon Valley.

Vance Houston        DIVISION 2
So far this season, he’s been in the final round of the JEGS SPORTSnationals and the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals, two of the sport’s biggest events.

Blake Peavler    DIVISION 3
A four-time national event winner, he’s got a win and a semifinal at the two Indianapolis Division 3 events held this season.

Kevin Thorp    DIVISION 4
The South Central Division is full of quick Top Dragsters and highly competitive drivers, and this is one of them. Kicked off 2025 with a semifinal in Phoenix and added another late-round showing in Belle Rose, La.

Mark Grame    DIVISION 5
Fresh off his third career national event win in Brainerd, he’s also done well at divisional races with a runner-up in Tulsa, Okla., and a pair of semifinals.

Dylan Hough    DIVISION 6
Comes into this event ranked No. 6 in the national standings after a pair of runner-up showings in Woodburn, Ore., and Phoenix. Dad Brian won this event in Top Alcohol Funny Car in 2021.

Cody Webber        DIVISION 7
Reigning world champ had a monster season in 2024 with two wins in four finals and recently had his best showing of the season with a semifinal in Bakersfield.

Vince Musolino        Blocker
The 2023 world champ won this event last season, so he gets to return as a blocker. Once you’ve faced the pressure of chasing a world title, the rest should be relatively easy.

RIGHT TRAILERS TOP SPORTSMAN

Michael Daniele        DIVISION 1
You must be doing something right if you attend six divisional events a year and win two of them. That’s exactly what the Division 1 rep has done this season.

Doug Crumlich        DIVISION 2
Won the NHRA Gatornationals earlier this season and also has a win and a runner-up at divisional events with a score that easily has him among the Top 10.
