Scott Taylor leads tightly packed Right Trailers Outlaw Street Q2

Scott Taylor recorded the quickest pass of the second Right Trailers Outlaw Street qualifying session, powering to a 3.733-second run at 201.49 mph during an exceptionally competitive round.

Taylor lined up against Kyle Canion in the final pair, producing the quickest side-by-side race of the session. Canion was nearly perfect at the starting line with a .009 reaction time and led the race to the finish despite Taylor recording the quicker elapsed time. Canion crossed in 3.740 seconds at 210.67 mph, finishing just .0335 second ahead on the combined reaction-time and elapsed-time margin.

Carson Baker came within two-thousandths of Taylor’s leading time, running 3.735 at 202.94 mph alongside Ryan Martin. Baker left first with a .026 reaction time and reached the finish .0611 second ahead. Martin made another powerful run, recording a 3.746 at 207.98 mph.

Shawn Ellington and Chris Rankin also completed a clean side-by-side pairing. Ellington posted a 3.763 at 199.20 mph, while Rankin followed with a 3.798 at 197.02 mph.

Clay Cole recorded the fastest speed of the session, matching Martin’s 207.98 mph while running 3.786 seconds. Cole made a strong charge despite a delayed .394 reaction time. Bobby Ducote was unable to record a time in the opposite lane.

Only 13 thousandths of a second separated Taylor, Baker and Canion at the front of the session, setting the stage for an exceptionally close battle as Right Trailers Outlaw Street qualifying continues.
