The NHRA will announce its 2023 Camping World Drag Racing Series schedule on Monday, detailing a 21-event schedule that continues NHRA’s strong presence from Florida to Southern California.

As previously announced, the season will start with the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla., and will conclude in Pomona, Calif., which will again host two events during the upcoming season. Gainesville Raceway has been home of the Gatornationals since 1970, while Pomona has been the home of drag racing since 1953 and has hosted the Winternationals since 1961 and the World Finals since 1984.

The two dates in Pomona for the 2023 season affirm the long-term commitment and partnership between NHRA and the Fairplex, where the events are hosted, which currently runs through 2028 with an extension into the next decade expected in the coming months.

“The Pomona drag strip will always be a meaningful location to Southern California racing. Fairplex is fortunate to have it be part of our DNA, just like the LA County Fair,” said Walter Marquez, President and CEO of Fairplex. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with the NHRA and being a part of the excitement that is Auto Club Raceway.”

The NHRA will conclude its 2022 regular season at this weekend’s prestigious 68th annual Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. That leads into the six-race Countdown to the Championship playoffs, which will conclude with the NHRA World Finals in Pomona on Nov. 10-13.
