To celebrate 35 years of world-class motorsports entertainment, the Texas Motorplex will be hosting Friday Night Live on Oct. 16 during the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals.

Over the years, the drag racing super-track has hosted stunt shows, daredevils, and set world records for speed and elapsed time, but this year the track will be pulling out all the stops with a wide variety of racing classes and a spectacle of speed. Fans will be treated to grudge racing, dragsters, Top Fuel Harleys, Jet Dragsters, Pro Mods and a high-flying Freestyle Motocross exhibition during the nearly three-hour event.

“We wanted to do something no other NHRA national event has done before,” said Andy Carter, Texas Motorplex General Manager. “This year has been a challenge for so many people and we wanted to celebrate the resiliency and high passion level of our fans. Friday Night Live will be full sensory overload when it comes to speed and wild looking race cars. We’ll have everything from Top Fuel Harleys to Pro Mods to Factory Stock Showdown. It will be a sight to see I promise you.”

The event will begin with a round of Grudge Match Racing followed by a qualifying session of 270 mile per hour Top Alcohol Dragster. Factory Stock Showdown will lead into Top Fuel Harley speed demons. The night will be capped off by the most unpredictable race cars on the planet Pro Mod with the Freestyle Motocross flying through the sky before Jet Dragsters light up the Texas sky with their powerful burner pops and amazing fireball starting line launches.

There will be additional fan interactive elements including a live DJ and special giveaways throughout the night. Gates will open at noon and spectators can enjoy sportsman qualifying throughout the day. Friday Night Live will kick off at 6:15 p.m.
