NHRA - National Hot Rod Association

The NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals begins Friday with qualifying in Top Fuel, Funny Car, E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Modified, Mickey Thompson Top Fuel Harley and Lucas Oil Sportsman drag racing. 

Professional qualifying rounds are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The complete schedule is available here.

Steve Torrence (Top Fuel), Robert Hight (Funny Car), and Stevie "Fast" Jackson (Pro Mod) took home Wallys at the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties, the last stop on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series tour. That trio will seek to defend their titles, while 2018 Bristol winners Ron Capps and Khalid AlBalooshi look to win again in Thunder Valley. 

The first FS1 television broadcast, Friday Night Nitro, will air at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. You can catch all the action live on NHRA.tv. The full TV schedule is available here at any time.
