Fans got their first chance to see chassis builder Larry Larson run his amazing new Cadillac ATS-V at Heartland Motorsports Park on Friday. Built as an entry for No Prep events, Larson’s latest creation features a 572-cid engine from ProLine and is fitted with a single 144mm turbocharger.

The car made its debut last week at the No Prep Kings event at New England Dragway, another NHRA Member Track. Larson also made additional test runs at a local eighth-mile track before bringing the car to Heartland Motorsports Park.

A big hit with the fans in the pits, Larson was not originally scheduled to run the new car in Topeka but got the opportunity to make a run after wounding the engine in his S-10 Truck following a five-second run.

The scoreboards were turned off for Larson’s run, but the Topeka fans didn’t need to see an elapsed time to know the immaculate creation is already a winner.
