One of the biggest surprises of the winter came right after the conclusion of the 2016 season when Worsham announced he will not return to drive the DHL Toyota Funny Car. For 2017 he will return to the helm of his family Funny Car with the help of his dad, Chuck.
Worsham also spoke about the new sponsorship deal that he recently struck with Morgan Lucas of Lucas Oil fame and how he will race in 2017, along with the crew he has assembled, and what it will be like once again to work alongside his dad. With whom he made his debut with debut in Pomona at the Finals in 1990.
