[2:00 P.M. UPDATE] Sunday Racing Delayed as Persistent Drizzle Slows Track-Drying Efforts; NHRA Safety Safari Continues Working on the Racing Surface

MARTIN, Mich. — Due to overnight rain and continued weather in the area, gates at U.S.131 Motorsports Park will open today at 1 p.m., allowing additional time for the facility and racing surface to dry.

NHRA continues to see a potential window of opportunity for racing this afternoon. Just as the weather and the Simpson NHRA Safety Safari’s efforts came together to produce exciting on-track action yesterday, NHRA remains optimistic that conditions will again cooperate today.
