Keith Murt reunites with Paton Racing with debut set for Charlotte
Paton Racing and Keith Murt will join forces once again and will kick off their 2026 season this weekend at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway.
Murt, who owns and operates MurtCo, which provides a wide variety of services ranging from HVAC and plumbing services to data center construction and management in Paducah, Ky., drove part time with the Patons during the 2022 and 2023 seasons and are looking forward to the chance to work together once again this year.
“Keith contacted us late last year and said he wanted to go fast again,” said team owner Todd Paton. “We went to Gainesville earlier this year for the Pro test session and got his license current again. He jumped in there like he hadn’t missed a beat, so our guys are ready to go compete at Charlotte with Keith back in our car.”
The team is looking at running a handful of events with a very good chance of expanding that schedule as the year unfolds.
“We’ve been upgrading our equipment over the winter, so we want to get out there and see what we’ve got,” Paton added. “MurtCo is, of course, on board for the 2026 season and will join our long-standing partners in Fast Eddie Speedwear, Performance Data Systems, Engineered Racing Services, Choko Authentics, Ogilvie’s Automotive, and Quality Plus Compressors. We can’t do it without these guys and are excited to bring them along for the ride in the 2026 season.”
