JEGS Allstars Preview: A closer look at each of the contenders in each class
Every year for the last 41 years, NHRA’s best Sportsman drivers have come together for the annual JEGS Allstars competition. They will compete for more than $125,000 in prize money at the upcoming Texas NHRA FallNationals. Here is a closer look at this year’s contestants.
TOP ALCOHOL DRAGSTER
Jackie Fricke East Region
Jackie Fricke won the 2020 JEGS Allstars title prior to Julie Nataas’ epic four-year run. Despite a setback earlier this season, she has scored a win in Maryland and is currently ranked in the Top 5 in the nation with a car easily capable of 5.1-second performances.
Jamie Noonan East Region
This has been a breakthrough season for Jamie Noonan, the Australian native who is the frontrunner to capture the Top Alcohol Dragster world title. At this point, a JEGS Allstars win would simply be icing on the cake.

Megan Smith East Region
Any car that can run more than 286 mph isn’t one to be taken lightly. This is a team on the rise, and the Dallas event might just be the perfect opportunity for a breakthrough victory from Megan Smith.
Melanie Johnson Central Region
Melanie Johnson's late uncle, Blaine, won this event in 1993, and there isn’t a better way to celebrate the family’s long history of success than another victory at this event. She went to the final round earlier this season in Brainerd against a tough field.
Jared Dreher Central Region
Jared Dreher recently scored his best result of the season with a semifinal finish at the inaugural Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by Mopar in Martin.
Joey Severance West Region (Blocker)
Joey Severance has practically owned this event with a record five JEGS Allstars titles in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2025. He’s also a 30-time national event winner and a four-time world champion.
Jon Bradford West Region
Jon Bradford typically has some of the best reaction times in the class, and his car is also good enough to get the job done. He won the fall Las Vegas event last season, and so far this year, he has claimed a runner-up in Pomona.
Shawn Cowie West Region
For all of Shawn Cowie's success, including multiple world titles and 28 national events wins, he’s amazingly still seeking his first JEGS Allstars individual title.
TOP ALCOHOL FUNNY CAR

Phil Esz East Region
Phil Esz is solidly ranked in the Top 5 and is coming off a strong showing with a runner-up finish at the Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals presented by Mopar in Michigan.
Mick Steele East Region
One of these things is not like the others. The New York Life team and Mick Steele have made steady progress with their injected nitro combination, including a win earlier this season in Bowling Green, Ky.
Sean Bellemeur Central Region
One of the most dominant drivers in the history of the class, Sean Bellemeur won back-to-back JEGS Allstars titles in 2023 and 2024 behind the wheel of the Bartone Bros. “Killer B’s” entry.
Bob McCosh Central Region
At first glance, you’d think Bob McCosh is having a quiet season until you realize he’s currently ranked No. 4 in the championship standings.
Chris Foster West Region
A late replacement for defending event champ Jim Whiteley, Chris Foster opened the season with a strong showing at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, and he’s the seventh-ranked driver in the class at this point.
Doug Gordon West Region
His dad, Mike, won this event in 1992, and Doug Gordon celebrated a victory here in 2008. As strong as this entry is, there is a very real possibility of a third JEGS Allstars victory this season.
Shane Westerfield West Region
Shane Westerfield claimed a pair of JEGS Allstars titles in 2016 and 2018. This season, he’s as strong as ever with a Brainerd win and Indy runner-up.
Tobin Gasparrelli West Region (blocker)
Tobin Gasparrelli is replacing Annie Whiteley as the blocker. Ironically, for all the success the Gasparrelli family has enjoyed, neither grandpa Lou or dad Steve have won this event, so he’s got a chance to make history.
COMPETITION ELIMINATOR
Joe Carnasciale DIVISION 1
Current points leader Joe Carnasciale is having a monster season with seven national and divisional wins combined. He’s also the favorite to capture the championship. That makes him one of the favorites for this event.

Monty Bogan DIVISION 2
Last year, Monty Bogan completed a longtime goal with his first JEGS Allstars title to help the Division 2 team claim overall honors. This season, he has won a pair of national events in Charlotte and Maryland.
Greg Kamplain DIVISION 3
An 11-time national event winner, Greg Kamplain's résumé also includes a victory in this race in 2014. He has been to four finals this season with a win at the Division 3 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in St. Louis.
Jeff Taylor DIVISION 4
Five-time and reigning world champ Jeff Taylor is still in the running for this year’s title. He’s also won this event four times, including two in Super Stock and two more in Comp.
Brian Stufflebeam DIVISION 5
Brian Stufflebeam went to his first national event final back in 1991 and is still going strong. This season, he has appeared in three final rounds at divisional events to help earn a spot on the Division 5 squad.
Melissa Murphy DIVISION 6
Melissa Murphy has only competed in three events this season, but she went to a pair of final rounds in 2025, including the season-ending In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona.
Kevin Carter DIVISION 7
Kevin Carter swept the doubleheader divisional event in Woodburn, Ore., to help make this a breakthrough season. He is also on track for a probable Top 10 finish.
Glen Treadwell BLOCKER
Glen Treadwell has got 11 national event victories, including three in Indy, so he knows a thing or two about racing under pressure. Surprisingly, he has yet to win at the JEGS Allstars.
SUPER STOCK
Byron Worner DIVISION 1
Former world champ and nine-time national event winner Byron Worner will lead a tough Division 1 team. For all their past success, the Worner bros. have yet to claim a JEGS Allstars title.
Kevin Helms DIVISION 2
Here’s a shocker. Kevin Helms has won five world titles, 31 national events, and he’s one of NHRA’s Top 50 Sportsman Racers, yet he’s never won the JEGS Allstars event. Somehow, that just doesn’t seem right.
Larry Hodge DIVISION 3
Past Indy champ Larry Hodge will get a chance to represent the tough North Central Division squad. This year, he won the Indy divisional, and he’s in contention for a spot in the Top 10.
Jimmy Hidalgo Jr. DIVISION 4
Jimmy Hidalgo Jr. is one of the hottest drivers in all of NHRA Sportsman racing right now with a shot at the championship in both Stock and Super Stock. Strange to think he’s also winless in the JEGS Allstars event.

Brett Speer DIVISION 5
With a win this season in Great Bend, Kan., and a runner-up in Brainerd, Brett Spear has earned a spot on the Division 5 team. He won this race in Stock in 2014.
Brad Burton DIVISION 6
Two-time world champ and 12-time national event winner Brad Burton is another guy who makes you scratch your head when you realize he has yet to win a JEGS Allstars title. Perhaps, this is finally the year.
Justin Lamb DIVISION 7
Justin Lamb is one of the most consistent performers in the sport, and he never seems to have an off year. This season is no exception as he’s got a win and two runner-up finishes in Super Stock alone.
Jeremy Duncan BLOCKER
A JEGS Allstars victory is the gift that keeps on giving as each champion, including Jeremy Duncan, earns the right to return to the event the following season for a title defense.
STOCK ELIMINATOR
Russ Linke DIVISION 1
Reigning world champion Russ Linke is having a solid title defense with a pair of final rounds in Numidia, Pa., and Maryland. He has also scored enough points to make the JEGS Allstars team, which is no small feat.
Jeff Strickland DIVISION 2
Another NHRA Top 50 Sportsman Racer who has seemingly done it all in his career, Jeff Strickland's many achievements include a JEGS Allstars title in the Top Dragster class in 2018.
Cody Herron DIVISION 3
A semifinal showing earlier this season at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk likely allowed Cody Herron's invitation to the Division 3 team at this event. Throw in a couple more late-round finishes from the end of 2025, and that seals the deal.
Will Emmons DIVISION 4
The Emmons family has a long history of success in Stock, including this event, where Harvey, Jerry, and Terry have combined for five JEGS Allstars titles since 1994. Now, it’s time for the next generation, Will Emmons.
Tim Mosbek DIVISION 5
Tim Mosbek won at his home event in Brainerd earlier this season. He's hoping to help the team from the West Central Division score their first overall team title since the 2020 season.
Brad Burton DIVISION 6
Brad Burton will have two chances to win his first JEGS Allstars title, as he’s the Division 6 rep in both Super Stock and Stock. Typically, this is a guy who doesn’t need two shots to get the job done.

Parker Theobald DIVISION 7
Parker Theobald started the season with a win at the Division 7 opener in Phoenix and has since tacked on a pair of wins, including one at the recent doubleheader in Bakersfield. He's solidly ranked among the Top 10 drivers in the class.
Steve Foley BLOCKER
Last year, Steve Foley's victory in Stock was a critical piece in the overall team title for the Southeast Division. Now, he’s got a chance to repeat both individual and team honors.
SUPER COMP

Tom Stalba DIVISION 1
Multitime Division 1 champ Tom Stalba won this event in 2023 and 2024, both in Super Gas. He also doubled up and won the national event in Texas two years ago, so he’s not at all unfamiliar with success at the Texas Motorplex.
Chris Childress DIVISION 2
Coming off of a strong Top 10 finish during the 2025 season, Chris Childress also claimed a long-overdue first national event win earlier this season in Bristol.
Jeremy Mason DIVISION 3
Past world champion Jeremy Mason also won the JEGS Allstars title during the 2020 season and has a scorecard that includes eight national event wins in Super Comp and Super Gas since 2018.
Kyle Secrest DIVISION 4
Division 4 rep Kyle Secrest has pulled off a rare feat by going the entire season without a first-round loss. He also won the Dallas event in 2024, so it’s safe to assume he enjoys racing at the Texas Motorplex.
Jordan Pratt DIVISION 5
After a win in Brainerd and a runner-up in Earlville, Iowa, Jordan Pratt is on the verge of a Top 10 finish in Super Comp. More recently, he went to the semifinals at the NAPA Auto Parts NHRA Midwest Nationals in St. Louis.
Tory Lea DIVISION 6
Last summer, Tory Lea nearly doubled at the Division 6 event in Woodburn, Ore., with a win and a runner-up, a move that helped kickstart his bid to make the JEGS Allstars roster.
Chad Webber DIVISION 7
Division 7 rep Chad Webber has won five NHRA national events, including two last season. He's hoping to join brother Cody, who won this event during the 2020 season.
Tanner Thorp BLOCKER
Defending event champion Tanner Thorp gets the opportunity to return as a blocker. This season, he’s put together a handful of late-round finishes, including a semifinal at the Tulsa, Okla., NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series race.
SUPER GAS
Josh Eastburn DIVISION 1
Josh Eastburn racked up a lot of points last season to not only claim the Division 1 championship but also earn a highly coveted spot in the JEGS Allstars event.
Tim Powell DIVISION 2
Tim Powell is having a monster season with two wins in four finals, and he’s currently battling for the championship in Super Gas. That sort of success also gets you a spot on the JEGS Allstars roster.
Bo Butner DIVISION 3
Bo Butner is another guy who has seemingly done it all, including a world title in Pro Stock and three straight Indy wins, yet he's still looking for his first victory in JEGS Allstars competition.

Charlie Stewart DIVISION 4
2020 Houston winner Charlie Stewart went to the semifinals at the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals a couple of months ago. He also had a strong finish during the 2025 season, which helped secure his selection to the Division 4 team.
Bill Cawsey DIVISION 5
So far this season, Bill Cawsey has been to three divisional final rounds, including a victory at the Brainerd doubleheader event in August.
Nathan Huber DIVISION 6
Last season, Nathan Huber bagged a pair of Division 6 victories in Woodburn, Ore., and Seattle, two big wins that helped seal his invite to Texas for this event.
Brad Pierce DIVISION 7
Division 7 rep Brad Pierce has a very consistent car that doesn’t run a lot of mph, which presents a lot of problems for his opponents. He won in Pomona earlier this year and was a runner-up in Sonoma.
Jim Perry BLOCKER
Past world champion Jim Perry is also a NHRA Summit Racing Equipment E.T. Series winner and the defending event champion. He also scored a win earlier this season at the Baby Gators Division 2 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series race.
SUPER STREET
Keith Mayers DIVISION 1
Keith Mayers is likely wrapped up the Division 1 championship this season thanks to an early win in Gainesville and a runner-up at Lebanon Valley Dragway.
Chip Johnson DIVISION 2
Longtime Division 2 racer Chip Johnson will get his first shot at the JEGS Allstars. A highlight of 2026 has been a runner-up and a semifinal at the Maryland Int’l Raceway doubleheader.
Kevin Myers DIVISION 3
Ohio racer Kevin Myers went the distance at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at U.S. 131 Dragway earlier this year.

Chuck Wier DIVISION 4
Chuck Wier is a two-time national event winner, and both of them happened to be in Texas. This season, he drove to the final round at the divisional event in Tulsa, Okla.
Logan Diggs DIVISION 5
Logan Diggs is the current Division 5 leader in Super Street and has a win in Brainerd, a runner-up in Earlville, Iowa, and semifinals in St. Louis and Great Bend on his 2026 scorecard.
Tony Hopkins DIVISION 6
Tony Hopkins is very efficient this season as he’s made just four appearances in Super Street, but they include a victory in Mission, B.C.
James Brown DIVISION 7
Solid timing for this selection as James Brown just won the Division 7 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at his home track, Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield.
Donald Webb BLOCKER
Not only did Donald Webb win this event last year, but he’s also the current Southeast Division points leader thanks to a win in Maryland and a pair of semifinal finishes.
RIGHT TRAILERS TOP DRAGSTER
Kevin Robb DIVISION 1
Former Comp ace Kevin Robb has found a home in the Top Dragster category. He’s already won three races this season and has a solid shot to make the Top 10 with a big weekend here in Dallas.

Robert Houston has won three national events, including the zMax Dragway race earlier this season. He’s also got a pair of semifinal finishes in limited action in 2026.
Devin Isenhower DIVISION 3
Past world champion and two-time Indy winner Devin Isenhower also won this event in Super Comp back in 2022. He scored a Top Dragster win at the Indy divisional a couple months ago.
J.R. Baxter DIVISION 4
With two wins in three final rounds this season, J.R. Baxter is not only a JEGS Allstar but also the current leader in the battle for the Top Dragster world title.
Les Feist DIVISION 5
Division 5 rep Les Feist was a runner-up in Earlville, Iowa, and a semifinalist in Great Bend, Kan. He also scored a national event win in Atlanta in 2018.
Dylan Hough DIVISION 6

Andy Spiegel DIVISION 7
Andy Spiegel has won a pair of national events, both in Las Vegas, and has several late-round finishes this year. Last season, he swept both ends of the Bakersfield double divisional.
Blake Peavler Blocker
Last year was one of the highlights of Blake Peavler's career as he not only won the JEGS Allstars title but followed with a win at the Texas NHRA FallNationals on Sunday.
RIGHT TRAILERS TOP SPORTSMAN
Jeff Brooks DIVISION 1
Jeff Brooks not only drives one of the coolest cars in Top Sportsman but also one of the most competitive. After three final rounds this season, he’s battling for a spot in the Top 5.

Rick McDonough DIVISION 2
Rick McDonough came on strong earlier this season with divisional wins in Adel and Norwalk. And he’s still in the running for the world title in Right Trailers Top Dragster.
Darian Boesch Division 3
From world titles to Indy wins and a 2019 JEGS Allstars victory, there isn’t much Darian Boesch hasn’t won in both Top Dragster and Top Sportsman. He’s also fighting for a spot in the Top 10 this year.
Lance Abbott DIVISION 4
Past world champion Lance Abbott is back at the JEGS Allstars with his quick Chevy S-10 truck. So far this year, he has three wins in four finals and is still in the running for a second world title.

2025 Brainerd winner Michael Chitty will represent the Division 5 team, and this season, he’s won both races in Earlville, Iowa, and is solidly ranked in the Top 10.
Benji Martin DIVISION 6
Benji Martin used a win in Seattle and a runner-up in Woodburn, Ore., to help secure his spot on the Division 6 team this year. In fact, he nearly made the Top 10 last year with just one national event on his scorecard.
Joe Stannard DIVISION 7
A runner-up finish earlier this season in Pomona and a semifinal in Las Vegas helped secure Joe Stannard's invite to the JEGS Allstars event. He was also a runner-up at the 2020 Las Vegas national.
Denny Dowson Blocker
Defending event winner Denny Dowson will return to block for his Division 3 teammates. He hasn’t raced much this season but secured a solid semifinal in Norwalk.
