For those looking to experience their own adrenaline rush at the track, take it from Ida Zetterström — the Dodge Charger Thrill Ride at zMAX Dragway was a must-do. No competition license required. 

Like hundreds of other NHRA fans at the 2026 NHRA 4-Wide Nationals, Zetterström strapped in for a full-throttle ride along in a new Dodge Charger. Dodge's Thrill Ride program gave fans a firsthand look at what it feels like to tap into serious horsepower. From the violent hit off the line to the rapid acceleration through the gears, the trackside experience delivered a visceral connection to Dodge power that few fans ever get to feel.

“It was incredible to see the turnout and the line of fans ready to take a Thrill Ride in a new SIXPACK‑powered Dodge Charger between rounds of nitro racing at the NHRA Charlotte event,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO. “Dodge’s muscle‑car DNA comes to life at NHRA drag races, and there’s no better place to experience this next‑generation Charger with its 550-horspower twin-turbo, gasoline-burning inline six than strapped into the front seat and feeling first‑hand how this car delivers real performance.” 

The Dodge Thrill Rides have become a fan-favorite attraction at NHRA events, offering spectators the chance to step out of the stands and into the action. More than 3,600 NHRA fans participated in the Thrill Rides at the 2026 NHRA 4-Wide Nationals. As Zetterström makes clear, it’s more than just a ride — it’s a memory that sticks long after the finish line.
