Top Fuel's Shawn Reed involved in qualifying accident at Northwest Nationals
During the third round of Top Fuel qualifying for the Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals, Shawn Reed’s dragster crossed the centerline and struck the left wall before coming to a stop past the finish line. Reed was examined onsite by NHRA Chief Medical Officer Dr. Surface and was transported to a local medical center for further evaluation.
During the third round of Top Fuel qualifying on Saturday at Pacific Raceways, Shawn Reed’s dragster crossed the center line and struck the left wall before coming to a stop past the finish line.
Reed was alert and communicating with the NHRA Medical Team. He was examined onsite by NHRA Chief Medical Officer Dr. Surface and was transported to a local medical center for further evaluation.
