NHRA National Dragster Sportsman Racer of the Month: Nathan Prose

This isn’t the first time the Prose family has been honored as National Dragster’s Sportsman Racer of the Month and given their recent history, it might not be the last.
So far this season, Nathan Prose has been to three events in Super Gas and he’s been to the final round in each of them. Prose kicked off his season at the Division 3 event at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and drove his colorful Corvette to a victory.
A week later, Prose went to the Division 5 event in St. Louis and chalked up a second win. He closed out the month with a runner-up finish at the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Joliet, where he went to another final before losing a close final to Dave Dahlem.
After winning 19 of a possible 20 rounds, Prose currently sits No. 19 in the national standings in Super Gas but he’s attended far fewer events than most of the drivers who are ranked above him.
