Super Gas racer Jordin DeWald was awarded the Holley Never Rest award at the Texas NHRA FallNationals after she and her husband worked hard to repair a blown engine to continue racing.
The DeWalds had been running their U.S. military-tribute ’37 Chevy truck in Super Gas at the Division 4 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Texas Motorplex that preceded the national event, but suffered a blown engine. Her husband made the seven-and-a-half-hour drive back to the Houston base to get a new engine, which they installed over the next day to be ready for the start of the FallNationals, where Jordin went three rounds.
