Bob Tasca III has never been one to back down from a challenge. In a class defined by precision and performance, his Funny Car team has proven time and again that it belongs among drag racing’s elite.

After blistering runs that were intended to rewrite sections of the Funny Car record book in 2024, the team’s focus has shifted from raw speed to sustained success, and Tasca is leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit of victory.

“These guys have been working hard,” Tasca said. “Our consitancey has been getting better, the car [ran what we wanted early] to run 224-225 mph to the 330 [-foot mark]. It just overpowered it in the middle.”

That evolution has been anything but subtle. Tasca’s team has gone through three different chassis configurations since last season, each iteration focused on improving consistency and how the car responds downtrack. And the team made the bold decision to switch to an entirely new clutch program — an overhaul that speaks volumes about their commitment to fine-tuning every variable in pursuit of a championship. The process has required patience and perseverance. But for Tasca, who holds a true passion for the sport, it’s part of what makes the journey worthwhile.

With the Countdown to the Championship looming and the team getting stronger each week, don’t count Tasca out. If history is any indicator, his breakthroughs are never far behind the next bold move.
