Greg Stanfield clinched his sixth world championship and his first in Holley EFI Factory X in the class’ inaugural season. He clinched the championship just by reaching the final round at the season-ending Ford Performance NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas, where he defeated Chris Holbrook with a 6.98-second run to also make him a member of the ARP Six-Second Club.

"It's been kind of a weird season; I'm glad it's over,." said Stanfield. "Thanks to Rod Shop and the Janac brothers for their support and all of the guys at my shop, and my wife and son."

Stanfield also indicated that he and his son Aaron will not compete in the class next year as they devote their efforts to helping others in the class.

"We just want to work on building this class bigger and better for the future," he said.

Stanfield, a five-time Super Stock world champ, has been the face of the innovative new class since its debut last season as an exhibition class. His Rod Shop Camaro was the first of the breed to make its debut, last year in Norwalk, Ohio, and won twice more in 2023’s exhibition season.

Stanfield and his son, Aaron, have dominated the class this season with each capturing three wins. Greg won the season opener at the season opener in Las Vegas in the spring and added wins in Chicago and Dallas.

Aaron, a three-time Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown champion, won in Charlotte, Indy, and St. Louis and was also runner-up in Chicago and Norwalk, and finished in second place after he did not contest eliminations in Las Vegas.
