To Our Fans,

As the final win light flashed on the season and we crowned world champions at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, we enjoyed one of the most exciting and competitive seasons in NHRA history.

It feels like just a few short weeks ago we had the green light to open the year at historic Gainesville Raceway, starting a 2023 campaign that nobody will forget.

From start to finish, our amazing fans packed the grandstands at national events across the country, enjoying everything from first-time winners and champs to exciting new programs like the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge to legendary performances in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series and the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series to incredible support from our member tracks and sponsors. This season, we also had the opportunity to return to Chicago, welcoming fans and partners back to that great market.

It’s been a historic season on so many levels, including Gaige Herrera’s record-breaking year in Pro Stock Motorcycle and Erica Enders adding to her awe-inspiring legacy by earning her sixth championship in Pro Stock. Funny Car’s Matt Hagan delivered a first championship for Tony Stewart Racing, while fan-favorite driver Doug Kalitta captured that elusive first Top Fuel world championship in a historic fight to the finish.

We also congratulate our champions in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series: Vince Musolino (Top Dragster), Brandon Miller (Top Sportsman), Trevor Larson (Super Gas), John Labbous Jr. (Super Comp), Kyle Rizzoli (Stock), Wyatt Wagner (Super Stock), Bruno Massel (Comp), Doug Gordon (Top Alcohol Funny Car), and Julie Nataas (Top Alcohol Dragster), as well as Aaron Stanfield in Factory Stock Showdown and Mike Castellana in NHRA Pro Mod.

As we celebrate our fantastic season, we will continue to do everything we can to provide the safest possible environment for our race teams and the best possible show for everyone in attendance. We are so grateful to have the best fans in sports, and we are so thankful for your dedication and support of the NHRA, our race teams, member tracks, and partners.

The 2024 season brings a huge amount of anticipation as well, returning to Phoenix and Virginia Motorsports Park and welcoming a new title sponsor in Mission Foods. The future looks extremely bright, and it’s going to be an incredible ride.

On behalf of everyone at NHRA, thank you for being part of our 2023 season, and we’ll see you on March 7-10 for the NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway to open the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season.

Sincerely,

Glen Cromwell
NHRA President
