Doug Kalitta will be flying the branding and logos of long-time Kalitta Motorsports marketing partner SealMaster this weekend when the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series rolls into Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. SealMaster, a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of pavement maintenance products and equipment, has been a major sponsor with both Kalitta Motorsports and NHRA, which features the wildly popular SealMaster Track Walk on Sunday mornings of race day. During the Norwalk event, Kalitta’s 11,000 horsepower Top Fuel dragster will sport the familiar SealMaster colors and logo while his team will wear special crew shirts.

“The Norwalk track is the closest race to our race shop as well as the SealMaster headquarters so this will be a cool event to run this SealMaster Top Fuel dragster,” said Kalitta, who is currently sitting in the Top Fuel Top 10. “They get huge crowds at Norwalk, and I know we will have a ton of folks from our shop as well as SealMaster at the race.”

Throughout the years, Kalitta Motorsports and SealMaster have hosted several unique events together from sponsor summits to open house tours highlighting the various motorsports partnership both companies share. The ability for SealMaster to host current and potential customers is one of the huge benefits to the marketing partnership. The Kalitta Motorsports pit side VIP experience is a highlight allowing guests to get up close and personal with not just the drivers like Kalitta and his teammates Shawn Langdon and J.R. Todd, but also to see the crews work on the race cars throughout the weekend.

“With our franchise system’s Sandusky headquarters just minutes away from Norwalk, this is a perfect event to showcase our partnership with Kalitta Motorsports and NHRA,” said Jason Hedlesky, SealMaster director of franchise development. “We have had a tremendous relationship with the team and we’re excited to see Doug pilot the SealMaster Top Fuel dragster. Our goal is to continue to keep SealMaster top of mind with Kalitta and NHRA fans. The series provides a great platform for entertaining our guests at events, while reaching a captive national audience at the same time.”

In a related announcement, Applied Innovation, an award-winning Michigan based company with over 35 years of expertise in imaging, technology, and automation services, is also expanding their on-car presence with Kalitta Motorsports in Norwalk. They will be taking over the front sections of both the Doug Kalitta and Shawn Langdon Top Fuel dragsters.  For over three seasons Applied Innovation, formerly Applied Imaging, has been building their business-to-business relationships with Kalitta Motorsports and a host of companies associated with NHRA drag racing.

This will be the first time Applied Innovation has had a major presence on two Top Fuel dragsters at the same event. In previous seasons they have taken the primary position on Doug Kalitta’s Top Fuel dragster during the Norwalk Nationals. Applied Innovation will also utilize the Kalitta Motorsports VIP hospitality experience during the race for their employees and customers.

“We wanted to try something different this season and get a prime spot on two of the best Top Fuel dragsters in the sport,” said Scott Grinwis, Director Business Development for Applied Innovation. “Doug has been running great all season and Shawn was just in the final last weekend. We would love to see an all Kalitta Motorsports Top Fuel final at the Norwalk Nationals with our Applied Innovation branding right up front on both race cars. We get a lot of business done at the track and it is a great environment for our customer and clients.”

NHRA Norwalk Nationals qualifying will begin this Friday with two sessions. Saturday will feature two more qualifying rounds and the final eliminations will start at 11 a.m. ET on Sunday. The SealMaster Track Walk will begin at 10 a.m. ET and fans can tune into live coverage on FOX beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET on race day.
