JEGS Mail Order, sponsor of the annual Sportsman Allstars competition, handed out more than $7,000 in gift cards for special awards winners at this year’s competition, which was held during the Denso Spark Plugs NHRA U.S. Nationals.

The single biggest award was a $500 payout to Trevor Larson, who was voted the MVP of the winning team by his Division 5 teammates. Larson, who won in Super Comp to help pave the way, has been on all three of Division 5’s Allstars championship teams, including in 2016, when he became the first and only Allstars competitor to double, winning in Super Comp and Super Gas.

Additional awards were given in each category to drivers who defeated the defending event champ, for holeshots in the Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car classes, for best reaction time in Comp, and for best packages and closest margins of victory.
