Tickets for the season-ending 55th annual Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona in Pomona, Calif., are on sale now for the national event taking place Nov. 14-17.

During the course of the busy weekend, champions will be crowned including those in the 11,000-horsepower, nitro-fueled Top Fuel dragster and Funny Car classes, along with the 200-mph Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle categories.

The weekend will also feature a host of NHRA dignitaries with ties to the west coast racing scene. Fans can take part in activities during the weekend including meet and greets, autograph sessions and prerace ceremonies.

Last year Steve Torrence made history as the first NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series driver to sweep the famous Countdown to the Championship, securing not only his Top Fuel world championship but also topping it off with an event win.

In fact, all of the NHRA Mello Yello world champions won at the Auto Club NHRA Finals, creating a dramatic and exciting weekend for fans.

In Funny Car, J.R. Todd walked away with the coveted world championship in only his second season competing in this fierce category.

Tanner Gray raced to the event victory in Pro Stock to become the youngest world champion in NHRA history. The Pro Stock Motorcycle World Championship came down to the final round of the season as Matt Smith walked away with the title after a fierce season-long battle with Eddie Krawiec.

On-track action will also feature the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series as well as the Summit Racing Equipment Series.
