Top-running Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Scotty Pollacheck will get a late-season boost as Strutmasters.com has signed on as primary sponsor of his EBR entry through the last six races of the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Pollacheck, who just missed making the Countdown to the Championship despite a heroic effort at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, is considered by many in the class a breakout waiting to happen after ix career final-round appearances.

“This is a great way for us to finish out the last six races of the season,” said Pollacheck. “It comes at a great time because I think we may have turned the corner with the motorcycle. We’re running better and qualifying better and looking good for the rest of the year. We’re excited to be joining the Strutmasters.com family.”

Strutmasters.com owner Chip Lofton has recently developed a reputation as one of the sport’s most aggressive benefactors and cheerleaders of smaller teams. He was with Top Fuel standout Clay Millican for five years following his transition to NHRA racing and although Strutmasters.com was not able to continue with Millican after he joined a new team owner this year, the company this year has signed on to support Top Fuel racers Audrey Worm and Lex Joon and Pro Stock racer Wally Stroupe.

“I’m one of those guys who likes to help the underdog,” said Lofton. “I try to help people get over the hump. I can’t start them from scratch but if they’ve taken the time to get as far as they’ve gotten, I can help them the rest of the way.”
