The track got hotter, but that didn’t stop Pro Stock teams from improving their performance in the third qualifying session at the Virginia NHRA Nationals. Jason Line remained the No. 1 qualifier (and did not improve with a 6.57-second hit), but he did earn one bonus point for running the third-quickest time in the session at Virginia Motorsports Park.

K.B. Racing stablemate Deric Kramer made the quickest pass by .001-second and improved to the No. 2 qualifying position with a 6.569-second pass. He’s also ahead of Bo Butner, who also gets K.B. power. Butner ran the second-best pass of the session, earning two bonus points during the session thanks to his superior speed.

Elite Performance got in on the action as Erica Enders ran a 6.573 and moved into the No. 4 qualifying position. Matt Hartford and Jeg Coughlin Jr. ran 6.578s and are qualified No. 6 and 7, respectively, with one qualifying session to go. Val Smeland is on the bump spot with an 11.421-second hit as his struggles continued during the weekend. You can see the full qualifying order here.
