NHRA - National Hot Rod Association

The NHRA Countdown to the Championship begins in earnest with race day at the Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil with 40 racers in the hunt for a championship. Professional racing begins with four rounds in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle at Maple Grove.

The first round begins at 11 a.m. Eastern with Top Fuel. Hector Arana Jr. enters as the defending champion in Pro Stock Motorcycle. Vincent Nobile is the defending winner in Pro Stock, J.R. Todd is the defending winner in Funny Car and Steve Torrence is the defending winner in Top Fuel.
