The Mickey Thompson Tires Pro Bike Battle will descend on Sonoma Raceway once again in July during the NHRA Sonoma Nationals. Eddie Krawiec, who runnered up against Matt Smith in 2018, leads the standings as the race-within-a-race approaches. Hector Arana Jr. and defending Bike Battle, and Mello Yello World Champion, Smith are just behind the 2017 World Champ.

The Pro Bike Battle takes place during qualifying at the Sonoma Nationals and features thrilling competition between eight of the top riders in Pro Stock Motorcycle. Krawiec has come up short in each of the past two years while chasing the $25,000 that goes home with the winner of the prestigious competition.

Points are awarded based on qualifying at the 16 Pro Stock Motorcycle events that come between the specialty events, beginning with the 2018 Seattle event and ending with the 2019 Dodge NHRA Mile-High Nationals presented by Mopar. Krawiec holds a 36-point lead over Arana and a 45-point lead over Smith.
