Tickets for the season-opening 59th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals presented by ProtectTheHarvest.com at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona on Feb. 7-10 are on sale now.
This will be the first opportunity to see the new cars and paint schemes as well as meet the drivers who will be racing at over 300-mph as they attempt to start the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series off with a victory.
Last year Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel), Matt Hagan (Funny Car), and Bo Butner (Pro Stock) raced to event wins to begin the year.
Adding to the excitement at the event will be a highly anticipated Hoonigan vs. Roadkill call out featuring Jon Chase of Hoonigan and Design Daddy against Mike Finnegan of Roadkill. Chase is tired of claims that his ‘55 Chevy is a clone of Mike Finnegan’s Blasphemi Chevy. They will settle the argument on the track with the help of NHRA drivers in front of a packed house. The stakes are going to be high -- the winner may insist that the loser shave his beard.
The event will include thrilling competition in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, where the future stars of the sport earn their racing stripes, as well as the opening round of the Mickey Thompson Tires Top Fuel Harley Drag Racing Series.
