The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series returns to scenic Maple Grove Raceway and tickets are now on sale for the event. The 34th Annual Dodge NHRA Nationals promises to deliver all the intense racing action that fans in the region have come to expect.

The event will feature four categories in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series including the 10,000-horsepower, nitro-fueled Top Fuel dragster and Funny Car classes, along with the factory hot-rod Pro Stock category and Pro Stock Motorcycle. The weekend will also feature the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. Three of the four winners at this event went on to secure world championships, making this iconic race a critical stop on the 24-event tour.

Last season Brittany Force defeated Steve Torrence in the finals at this event, kicking off a successful streak that culminated in Force’s first Mello Yello World Championship.

The Funny Car category was won by Ron Capps who defeated Courtney Force in the finals for his 57th career victory.

Bo Butner took out Greg Anderson in Pro Stock, creating a lead in the Countdown which would propel him to his first world championship.

Eddie Krawiec won his third consecutive event in Pro Stock Motorcycle when he bested LE Tonglet. Krawiec also went on to win a world championship in this competitive category.

The weekend will also honor iconic figures of the sport as NHRA continues the Legends Tour, which takes place at events across the country. Many NHRA dignitaries will be in attendance to greet fans and take part in the weekend.
