Burkart Jr. to pilot Schwab Funny Car under TNT First-Aid colors at Las Vegas Four Wide
The Robert Schwab-owned Funny Car will be piloted by Phil Burkart Jr. at the Denso Spark Plugs NHRA Four Wide Nationals with a new sponsor on board. TNT-First Aid and Schwab share history dating back to the Australian’s accident at Rocky Mountain Raceway in 1999.
TNT First-Aid founder Jeff Midgley worked as the lead fire diver at the race track at the time and, along with his team, pulled the unconscious Schwab from the crash. Midgley and Schwab remain close friends to this day, and now Midgley’s company will be the primary sponsor on the side of Schwab’s Funny Car at the first Four Wide in Las Vegas.
In addition, Burn Free (another product that aided in saving Schwab’s life) will sponsor the Funny Car, along with Utah-based Readyman. Instant Ice wrap will also come on board to sponsor the team, which calls Utah home.
