Top Alcohol Funny Car owner and tuner Rick Jackson has announced that 2017 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series world champion Shane Westerfield will pilot his Top Alcohol Funny Car for the 2019 season.
Top Alcohol Funny Car owner and tuner Rick Jackson has announced that 2017 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series world champion Shane Westerfield will pilot his Top Alcohol Funny Car for the 2019 season. Jackson previously had been teamed with second-generation driver John Lombardo Jr.
“I am excited and appreciate the opportunity to join Rick and the team,” said Westerfield, winner of 10 NHRA national events, eight Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional events, and the 2017 JEGS Allstars. “This has come together really fast and we are planning to test prior to Pomona."
The team will be sponsored by Centre Pointe Collision, CP-Carrillo, Lucas Oil, Blake Bros. Racing, NGK spark plugs, and 360DTii.
