Booher Racing Top Alcohol Dragster

After a promising two-race campaign in 2016, Top Alcohol Dragster rookie Kirk Wolf has committed to running a full schedule of races in 2017. He will again get behind the wheel of the Booher Racing blown alcohol dragster for three national events and the full NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series North Central Region schedule, beginning with the North Central Region season opener in Indianapolis, April 28-30.

Kirk Wolf“I’m excited about running a full season this year,” said Wolf, who’s driven in Top Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, and Top Fuel. “We’re starting the year off with a lot of new parts and spares, so we’re definitely prepared and ready to go. Brandon [Booher] has been working hard on improving his program for this season, so I’m looking forward to seeing the results of that hard work when we hit the track in Indy.”

Wolf will drive the supercharged Booher Racing entry tuned by 2013 NHRA North Central Region champion Brandon Booher and owned by crew chief Aaron Booher. Wolf attended several races with the team last season to learn the routines involved with running a torque converter-equipped dragster. The Texas native then made his Top Alcohol Dragster debut at the 2016 AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals in Dallas, followed by a first-round win at the NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas last October.

“Brandon, Aaron, and their team are a great group of guys,” Wolf said. “They’re a family, and they treat me like a part of the family. Everyone has a real good time at the track together, and I’m really excited to team up with them again.”

The AB Construction team plans to attend the full NHRA North Central Region schedule in pursuit of the regional championship. Wolf also plans to compete at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, the AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals in Dallas, and the NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas this fall.

Blendtek Fine Ingredients, an Ontario, Canada-based company, has signed on to support Wolf and Booher Racing as a primary sponsor at the Las Vegas fall race and as an associate sponsor at all of the team’s races in 2017. With over 300 products in-stock, Blendtek Fine Ingredients Inc. specializes in the supply of food ingredients, cosmetic and pharmaceutical additives, industrial chemicals, water conditioning salts, de-icing products, as well as plastics and packaging. “I really want to thank Bill, Kim, and Steven Zinger at Blendtek for their support this year,” Wolf added. “We’ve been good friends for years now, and I’m really glad to be racing with their support this season.

“David Ward at High Performance Lubricants (HPL) is onboard with us again this season. Brandon started running HPL products last season with success, and we’re fortunate to have their expanded support this year, too.”
