Bob Tasca wins 74% of his Rd. 1 races when starting from the top half of the field . Blake Alexander beat Tasca in Rd. 2 here last year. Tasca is 16 - 7 against Alexander in prior events. Alexander gets about 400 feet out, strikes the tires, then gives up on the run. Tasca was on a good run but hazed the tires about 700 feet and lost traction. Bob Tasca III's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.012), 330 ft(-0.009), 660ft(0.201). MOV: 0.6285 seconds (more than 100 feet).

Spencer Hyde is the 108th driver to race Del Worsham. Del Worsham's 513 FC round wins are 7th most in class history. Hyde gets out of the gate first and starts pulling away. He goes down the groove with a good pass and extends his lead all the way through the run. Worsham was out of power just a little early. hyde will have lane choice over Tasca in the next round.

Austin Prock is 21 -3 in Rd. 1 when qualified #1 (all 3 losses have been this year). This is Jason Rupert's 15th start. Prock is 1 - 0 against Rupert in prior events. Rupert gets out of the gate first and goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend. Prock reels Rupert in just past the 60 foot mark and pulls away for the win. Jack Beckman's 24 round wins here are tied for the 4th most for him at any event. Dave Richards is 4 - 12 in Rd. 1 this year. Beckman is 6 - 1 against Richards in prior events. Beckman gets the advantage off of the line and goes down the groove with the second quickest run of the round so far to take the win. Richards gets about 300 feet out, hazes the tires, then clicks it off.

Matt Hagan is 33 - 6 in Rd. 1 when qualified #3. Hagan is 30 - 11 against Pedregon in prior events. Cruz Pedregon is 6 - 14 against Hagan in Rd. 1 (0 - 3 this year). Pedregon gets the holeshot, stays in front past the sixty foot mark, then Hagan goes around him. Hagan pulls away and takes the stripe for the win. With this win Prock cannot clinch the championship this weekend.

Ron Capps is 4 - 0 against Green in Rd.1. Chad Green is 8 - 10 in Rd.1 this year. Capps is 7 - 2 against Green in prior events. Green gets the advantage off of the line and starts pulling away. Capps starts reeling him in after the 330 foot mark but he can't reel in Green. Chad Green's incremental margins: 60ft(0.031), 330 ft(0.035), 660ft(0.030). MOV: 0.0258 seconds (approximately 12 feet). Green will have lane choice over Hagan in the next round.
