Millican bangs the blower right in the lights, but still runs his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. Brown with his quickest pass of the weekend in the losing effort.

Shawn Langdon is 171 - 108 in Rd. 1 in his TF career. This (#10) is the best starting spot for Krista Baldwin. Langdon is 1 - 0 against Baldwin in prior events. Baldwin with a tick advantage on the tree, but is dropping cylinders right at the hit and clicks it off. Langdon launched hard and kept it hooked up to run low E.T. of the event for the win.

Doug Kalitta is the only TF driver to have won this race 3 years in a row. He wins 78% of his Rd. 1 races when he has lane choice. Jasmine Salinas is the 20th woman to qualify for a TF field. Salinas broke on the burnout to give Kalitta the win. Kalitta launched hard and was straight down the groove for the free win.

Justin Ashley has qualified in the top half of the field at 21 of his last 25 races (and 13 in a row). Shawn Reed is making his 36th start. Reed rolled through the water box and the car didn't make a burnout. Ashley with a great light and never trailed as Reed's car was up in smoke right at the hit and he clicked it off. Ashley with a good clean pass for the win.

Brittany Force has qualified No.1 47 times and won the race 5 times Force launched hard and kept it hooked up for another good looking pass on the bye pass. Force with a big top end speed, fastest of the event. She will have lane choice over Millican in the next round.

Billy Torrence is 60 - 23 in Rd. 1 races. Josh Hart is 31 - 26 in Rd. 1. Torrence is 1 - 0 against Hart in prior events. Hart with the starting line advantage, but then dropped a cylinder or two and Torrence chased him down for the win. Torrence with his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. He will give up lane choice to Kalitta in the next round.

This is the best starting spot for Tony Schumacher in his last 46 races. Terry Totten is making his 22nd start. Schumacher with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win as Totten is up in smoke right at the hit. Schumacher is straight down the groove for the win. He will give up lane choice to Langdon in the next round.

Steve Torrence is 24 - 10 in Rd. 1 when qualified #4. Tony Stewart is the 74th driver to face Torrence in eliminations (35 of those drivers have never beaten Torrence). Torrence with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win as Stewart is up in smoke right at the hit and clicked it off. Torrence launched hard and kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight for the win. He makes the second quickest pass of the round. He will have lane choice over Ashley in the next round.
