This is the first time Laughlin and Graham have faced each other in eliminations. Graham with the starting line advantage, but Laughlin had the difference made up by the time they went by the Christmas tree and never trailed from there on for the win.

Jason Line is the defending event champion. He has won this race five times. Line is 4 - 0 against Delco in prior events. Line with a slight starting line advantage and runs low E.T. of the round for the win. He will have lane choice over Laughlin in the next round. Line with his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. Delco with his quickest pass of the weekend in the losing effort.

Skillman is 1 - 0 against Grose in prior events. Grose with a good light, but Skillman had the difference made up by the time they go by the Christmas tree. He did drift out of the groove, but reeled it in to hold on for the win. Skillman will have lane choice over Enders in the next round.

This is the first time since Reading in 2016 that Vincent Nobile has been number one. It's the second time he has been number one at the Winternationals (2014). He won here in 2013. The top qualifier in Pro Stock has won this race in seven of the last 14 years. In the last 30 years the #16 qualifiers in Pro Stock are 4-26 in the first round at this race. Nobile with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. He will give up lane choice to Kramer in the next round. Prusiensky made a quick move toward the centerline right at the hit and does cross it, so he is DQ'ed.

Greg Anderson has won this race six times. He was runner-up last year. Anderson is 3 - 0 against Smeland in prior events. Anderson with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. He will give up lane choice to his teammate Butner in the next round.
