As qualifying concluded at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, the final event of the 2017 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series regular season, more drivers have clinched berths in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs, leading to Monday's dramatic eliminations to fill the balance.

John Force, Hector Arana Jr., Jerry Savoie, and Matt Smith all clinched their berths in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd. Twenty-three drivers in four classes will battle for the final spots at the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals.

With two races to go before the Countdown to the Championship begins, the NHRA National Dragster staff looks at the four Professional classes to see who has the best shot at making the playoffs.

As a result of racing at the NHRA Northwest Nationals, nine more drivers clinched their berths in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Countdown to the Championship.

Tony Schumacher, Robert Hight, Jack Beckman, Tanner Gray, and Jason Line locked up spots in the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship at the Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals.

Matt Hagan, Greg Anderson, and L.E. Tonglet all clinched their spots in the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals.

Steve Torrence, Leah Pritchett, and Antron Brown in Top Fuel, along with Ron Capps in Funny Car and Bo Butner in Pro Stock have all clinched their berths in the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship.
