Teams of Langdon, Hagan, Anderson, Angie Smith lead Crew of the Year competition
As the 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season races on, the teams of Shawn Langdon, Matt Hagan, Greg Anderson, and Angie Smith are the respective leaders in their classes after 10 events in the NHRA Crew of the Year presented by Red Line Oil competition.
The award is given to a team in each Professional category and is based on a number of statistical categories, including average qualifying position, average eliminations e.t., speed index, average points per race, and oildowns. The award is tracked over the course of the season, with the top three teams in each Professional category (Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle) showcased at the awards banquet.
In Top Fuel, Langdon’s Kalitta Air team holds a 10-point lead over teammate Doug Kalitta’s crew with Leah Pruett’s squad in third. Hagan’s Dodge holds a two-point lead in Funny Car over both J.R. Todd’s crew and Kack Beckman’s team.
KB Titan Racing holds down the first three spots in Pro Stock with the squads of Anderson, Dallas Glenn, and Matt Hartford leading the way. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Angie Smith’s squad is ahead of husband Matt’s team with Gaige Herrera’s crew in third.
