Sunday pre-race ceremonies set the stage in New England

Beneath bright skies and comfortable New England temperatures, race day has arrived at the NHRA New England Nationals presented by bproauto. The grandstands continue to fill as fans stream through the gates of New England Dragway, creating the backdrop for a Sunday that promises both speed and significance.

The pre-race ceremony served as a fitting tribute to the traditions that define NHRA Drag Racing. With the colors presented, the National Anthem performed, and race fans rising to their feet in appreciation of the men and women who serve our nation, the atmosphere reflected the unique blend of patriotism and horsepower that has long been a cornerstone of the sport.

As America celebrates its 250th birthday in 2026, NHRA marks its 75th anniversary season, and New England Dragway continues its 60th year of competition, the moment carried added meaning. Drivers, crews, officials, and fans paused together before turning their attention to the business of championship drag racing.
