Final eliminations for the season’s only four-wide event kick off today at zMAX Dragway after two furious days of qualifying with 75th Anniversary diamond Wallys waiting for those who can survive the three rounds.

Top Fuel low qualifier Shawn Langdon is just one of two drivers to win a four-wide race in both Top Fuel and Funny Car, and he’ll be looking for win No. 3 in a very tough field that sported a bump spot of 3.86 and the field separated by just two-tenths of a second.

No. 6 qualifier Antron Brown is the class’ leading active winner with three four-wide wins and a pair of runner-ups, and would love nothing more than a big win to boost a tough start to his season.

Ron Capps had one of two cars to run in the three-second zone on all four qualifying runs – J.R. Todd being the other – and Capps, who has a pair of four-wide wins to his credit, could tie class legend John Force as well as Matt Hagan and reigning world champ Austin Prock with a third win.

Prock qualified No. 16 as his team continues to struggle and will be in a first-round quad with Capps. Mission Challenge winner Jordan Vandergriff, looking for his first Pro win, qualified No. 2 just ahead of Hagan and Todd.

Greg Anderson was the king of Pro Stock through all four sessions and again will face the toughest challenge from teammate Dallas Glenn, who won all three four-wide races last season, two of which were held at zMAX. Glenn was the No. 2 qualifier behind Anderson by two-hundredths but is capable of making that up on the starting line.

Pro Stock Motorcycle low qualifier Matt Smith was the No. 1 qualifier at his home race but will face tough competition from the Vance & Hines duo of reigning world champ Richard Gadson and Mission Challenge winner Gaige Herrera. Ryah Oehler will be the wild card as the independent rider, with some guidance from Smith, is the No. 2 qualifier behind Smith but ahead of Herrera. Gadson sits at an uncharacteristically low seventh in the field.
