Cody Anderson, son of legendary Pro Stock driver Greg Anderson, is competing at his first Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Fresh off his first semifinal finish at the NHRA Brainerd Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway, Anderson admits he has the first-time nerves, but he’s also excited because he punched his ticket to race in his first-ever Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty Challenge. But at the end of the weekend, he wants to be hoisting a 75th anniversary Diamond Wally.

Anderson is tenth in points and also on the ballot for the Rookie of the Year award. The North Carolina native also shared that it’s a dream come true to race with his dad, especially after years of standing behind the HendrickCars.com car.
