In addition to the thrilling Mission Foods championship battles at the Texas NHRA FallNationals, 10 drivers also collected victories in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series at Texas Motorplex.

With his hopes for another world championship hanging in the balance, Shawn Cowie collected the win in Top Alcohol Dragster, securing the win when Alan Bradshaw and team could not get their mount to fire in the final.

Shane Westerfield captured the Top Alcohol Funny Car crown in a battle of past world champions with Doug Gordon. Gordon seemed to have the race well in hand until his Camaro broke the blower belt at 1,000 feet, allowing Westerfield to slip by for the win.

In a classic Comp Eliminator showdown, Christopher Benham got the jump with a stout .030 light and charged to a 7.426-second run on the D/DA 8.01 index to pocket the win. Monty Bogan was right there with an 8.447 pass on the 8.86 D/SM index.

Jeremy Duncan was deadly at the tree, firing off a near-perfect .001 reaction time and racing to a 9.213 run on his 9.21 index to score the Super Stock crown. Larry Hodge gave chase with a solid 9.717 on his 9.74 index, but Duncan's lightning-quick launch proved tough to overcome.

Chris Knudsen laid down a killer .001 reaction time and never looked back, driving to the Stock victory with a 10.226 run on his 10.19 dial. Paul Stalba was closer to his number with a 10.205 pass on a 10.21 dial, but Knudsen's huge advantage at the starting line carried him to the win.

It doesn't get much tighter than the Super Comp final. Kyle Secrest and Tom Stalba both dipped under the 8.90 index, but Secrest's razor-sharp .002 reaction time and 8.895 pass earned the nod over Stalba's .007-initiated 8.891 effort in a thrilling double-breakout final.

Kyle Pawuk, son of veteran racer Mark Pawuk, left first and never surrendered the advantage, combining a .008 reaction time with a 9.920 run to capture his first career win in Super Gas. Jeremy Demers ran a respectable 9.929 but couldn't make up for edge on the starting line.

Ross Ragland used a stellar .010 reaction time and a 10.913 run on the 10.90 index to race to the Super Street victory. Cary Huber posted a 10.932 pass, but Ragland's quick leave gave him all the cushion he needed to take the trophy.

Crystal Peterson-Martinez won the Right Trailers Top Dragster final with a 6.111 run on her 6.10 dial. Dylan Hough matched her stride-for-stride downtrack but broke out with a 6.163 on a 6.17 dial.

Chanse Bullock put together a winning package in the Right Trailers Top Sportsman final, pairing a .013 reaction time with a 6.526 pass on his 6.50 dial. Jim Thorp gave it a shot with a 6.218 run on a 6.19 dial, but his late light left him with too much ground to make up.
