Nightfire returns to Firebird Aug. 1–3
Idaho’s largest motorsports event, the 54th Annual Nightfire Nationals presented by Bi-Mart, roars back into action at Firebird Raceway in western Idaho from Friday to Sunday, Aug. 1–3.
Firebird’s signature Nitro showcase will feature a thrilling lineup including AA/Funny Cars, AA/Fuel Dragsters, AA/Fuel Altereds, Pro Modifieds, Jet Cars, and more in three days and nights of non-stop action. With the support of Valvoline Instant Oil Change, the marquee Funny Car class will feature a full 16-car qualified field.
This Boise stop is a key points race in the 2025 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series, especially for the headline AA/Funny Car and AA/Fuel Dragster divisions.
Defending Nightfire champions include Shane Westerfield (Funny Car), Tyler Hilton (Top Fuel), Cory Lee (Fuel Altered) and Andy Kouerinis (Pro Modified).
Adding to the excitement, Firebird will also host its largest sportsman racing event of the year: The Bracketeers, a tradition dating back to 1976. Racers will compete for a record-setting purse in categories including Super Pro, Pro, Heavy, Sled/Bike, Pro Comp, and Top Fire—a qualified Quick 16 shootout for both full-bodied and open-wheel entries.
