NHRA Camping World Awards Ceremony to be held in Southern California Wine Country
The 2022 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Awards Ceremony will head to scenic Southern California Wine Country and the Pechanga Resort Casino on Monday, Nov. 14, following the final event of the season, the Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.
The invitation-only black-tie affair, where NHRA will honor its 2022 Camping World Drag Racing Series world champions in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle, will begin with a pre-event cocktail reception at 5 p.m., followed by a formal sit-down dinner at 6 p.m. The awards ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. with the official after-party ending the evening’s festivities. All activities will take place in the Pechanga Summit Ballroom, which has played host to several marquee events and entertainment acts, including comedian Ron White, musician Brad Paisley, Top Rank Championship Boxing, and many more.
“We are extremely excited to return to a grand awards ceremony to celebrate our NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series champions and top-10 finishers,” said Evan Jonat, NHRA Vice President of Live Events. “The last two years created challenging circumstances that didn’t allow for an event or gathering of this size, so it will certainly be a thrill to honor our drivers and race teams.”
Highlights from the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series Awards Ceremony will be available for viewing on the NHRA YouTube page, as well as photos and interviews on the red carpet before the ceremony.
Champions in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will be honored earlier in the day, from 4-5 p.m., at the Eagle’s Nest at Pechanga Resort Casino before joining the activities at the Camping World Drag Racing Series Awards Ceremony where they will also be recognized.
