Cedar Falls Motorsports Park recently completed a major track resurfacing project at the venerable Division 5 Iowa track, its first in about 25 years.

With the help of a local asphalt company and advice from Division 5 Director Rob Park, Larry Crispe, and Total Venue Concepts owner Kurt Johnson, they were able repave the first half of the quarter-mile track. The team first ground off two inches of the old surface before laying down the new asphalt.

“We are investing in the future of not only the track, but drag racing as a whole,” said General Manager Justin Kruse. “This will make a big impact on all the events here at Cedar Falls Motorsports Park, not just on the Summit Series side but the big-money races that we host throughout the summer, such as the SFG 350, Triple 7 Bracket Jackpot by Wells Racing Promotions, and the GallstarTV Cash Harvest.”
