NHRA wins four Telly awards for excellence in video and television in 2019

NHRA was honored recently with four Telly awards for video excellence, including a new Mello Yello commercial and its Speed For All campaign. The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens.

Developed and produced in partnership with Coca-Cola, the Mello Yello: Work Hard, Swig Easy television commercial was targeted for placement in NHRA’s FOX television programming and includes great action photography and scenes of NHRA drivers enjoying a cool Mello Yello as part of their work day.. Winner of a Bronze Telly, it was the first outside commercial produced by the NHRA team

NHRA’s Speed For All campaign has been an overarching message and marketing campaign that drives home the emotions, the people, the cars, and the strengths of NHRA Drag Racing. This one-minute clip, which is used widely a promotional material, won a Silver Telly.

NHRA also won two Silver Tellys for show-opening video sequences. NHRA legend Don “the Snake” Prudhomme stars in the introduction for the 2019 season-ending Auto Club NHRA Finals highlighting “One Final Race” to decide the 2019 NHRA Mello Yello season champions.

The show opener for the 2019 U.S. Nationals collected silver honors in the Television: Directing category and salutes the history and winners of NHRA’s oldest and most prestigious events with vintage footage and interviews.

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 to honor excellence in local, regional and cable television commercials with non-broadcast video and television programming added soon after.
