WATCH: Steve and Billy Torrence top Top Fuel Q1 qualifying in Topeka
Defending Top Fuel world champion Steve Torrence made the quickest pass of the first Top Fuel session at the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties; but his father, Billy Torrence, wasn't far behind. Steve ran a 3.801-second pass at 322.27 mph while Billy made a 3.838 pull at 318.92. Richie Crampton rounded out the bonus-point earning positions with a 3.867 hit.
