Greg Anderson

For the first time this year and 103rd time in his career, Greg Anderson will head into final eliminations as the low qualifier in Pro Stock. In order to gain the top spot, Anderson ran a 6.571 during a quick final session that was delayed by more than an hour because of rain. He bumped teammate Jason Line to second in the field.

Conditions improved dramatically under the lights and that allowed more than half of the field to improve upon their previous best. Richard Freeman ran an impressive 6.593 in the new Elite Performance Mustang to secure the No. 5 spot while teammates Erica Enders and Jeg Coughlin Jr. also found the 6.5s for the first time this weekend.

First round pairings (lane choice first): Greg Anderson vs. Alan Prusiensky; Jason Line vs. Kenny Delco; Matt Hartford vs. Shane Tucker; Erica Enders vs. Val Smeland; Richard Freeman vs. Chris McGaha; Deric Kramer vs. Rodger Brogdon; Fernando Cuadra vs. Alex Laughlin; Bo Butner vs. Jeg Coughlin Jr.
