Martin, Patterson, Johnston, and Toth claim NHRA Summit Racing Series National titles

Todd Martin, Jason Patterson, Troy Johnston, and Riley Toth claimed NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championships with victories at the Auto Club NHRA Finals.

Martin, a Division 1 racer from Highland Lakes, N.J., defeated Division 6 runner Dale Green, who made the National Championships as a wild card entry, to claim the Super Pro title

Patterson, whose Deer Park, Texas-based ’70 Camaro won the Division 4 title, took home the Pro victory by defeating Division 1 racer Butch Weinrich and his Rosedale, Md.-based '69 Dart in the final to claim the trophy.

The Sportsman championship went home to Keyport, Wash., with Johnston and his ’72 Duster as the Division 6 competitor defeated Jake Howard and his ’70 GTO, which competes in Division 4 out of Lavon, Texas.

Riley Toth took home the win in the Motorcycle class with his Medicine Hat, Alta.-based '02 Kawasaki ZX-11, defeating defending national champ Curtis Spracklin and his Omaha, Neb.-based entry out of Division 5.
